Is Cialis addictive?

NO.

Cialis is not habit-forming and does not create physical dependence. In this article, we’ll talk about how Cialis is used and what it does to the body. We then invite your questions about the addictive potential of Cialis at the end.

What is Cialis used for?

Cialis is a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction and the symptoms of symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). It helps increase blood flow during sexual arousal, allowing men with high blood pressure or other medical conditions to maintain an erection.

What is Cialis made of?

Cialis contains tadalafil, a drug known as a phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitor. Other brands of tadalafil are approved for the treatment of unrelated medical conditions.

How addictive is Cialis?

Cialis is not an addictive drug. You don’t develop a tolerance or dependence to tadalafil, even if you take it on a daily basis. However, Cialis doesn’t cure the underlying medical conditions causing ED, so it’s possible a man may need to take it every time he wants to have sex.

Furthermore, needing to take Cialis on a regular basis is not the same thing as an addiction. Some people with a psychological block which prevents them from functioning sexually may develop an emotional or psychological reliance on the medication, but this is not a true drug addiction, since tadalafil doesn’t cause withdrawal symptoms when you don’t take it.

How do you abuse Cialis?

People will sometimes abuse Cialis by using tadalafil without a prescription. Someone who doesn’t suffer from erectile dysfunction may believe that Cialis will heighten the sexual experience or allow them to function better sexually. Since Cialis can cause serious side effects, most notably sudden, unexplained hearing loss, this isn’t a drug anyone should take without a prescription.

hi there
i am 29 years old and having a problem of ED since last 7-8 years. doctors and even i know it is a psychological problem but still my GP have prescribed me a 20 mg dose of cialis 30 to 60 mins before being intimate….. it has worked great for me with my ex girlfriend but not the same with my new gf though ive just tried it once with her… i am a bit worried about the fact that should i stop taking this drug so that i dont get addicted to it or should i consult a psychiatrist or seek psychological help. my blood reports and all other tests were found to be very OK.

Hello devv. Sure, a visit to a psychologist would help clear up the difference between physical and psychological dependence on Cialis. I’d suggest an appointment for an assessment for addiction as soon as you’re able.
